Summary of Summer 2012

Summer season,is defined as, June,July and August.
September 21st or there about, is officially the start of fall, however most of us consider Labor Day as the end of Summer and the start of fall.
We ended up with another very Hot summer and wrapped up our season
on 08-31-2012 with a record 94°F (93°F officially) with 29 days of 90° or better this summer.

… Top 10 warm season finish at Syracuse NY…

Syracuse finished with the 4th warmest June to August period out of
the 111 years of record. The average temperature was 72.7 degrees
which is 3.4 degrees above the 30 year normal. The warmest Summer
was in 2005 with 73.7 degrees.

It was also the 9th driest Summer with only 6.39 inches of rainfall.
This is 4.27 inches below the 30 year normal. The least amount of
Summer rainfall was 3.68 inches in 1936.

90s+ = Days at least 90 for a high temperature

88/99 = Days with a high of 88 or 89 (near misses of 90 F)
Humid = Days where the dew point reached or exceeded 70 F
< 70 = Days where the high temperature failed to reach 70 F
