Every now and then you hear people say foolish things.
One that I have heard recently was,..
“I don’t like you anymore… so your not my kid’s Godparent anymore!
tsk tsk tsk
Ya can’t change godparents like you do your underwear!
In your mind you can, in the eyes of the church… sorry your stuck!
Canon Law
Can. 877 ß1 The parish priest of the place in which the baptism was conferred must carefully and without delay record in the register of baptism the names of the baptized, the minister, the parents, the sponsors and, if there were such, the witnesses, and the place and date of baptism. He must also enter the date and place of birth. There is nothing written about rewriting an entry.
How’s that going to work for you when in the future you reconcile?
